DiamondBack SYNC 3 Mountain Bike REVIEW 2017

This Diamondback mountain bike has a butted alloy frame, front suspension, hydraulic brakes and plenty of gears, it's currently onew of the best specced mountain bikes around if not the best for the price tag!

What more could you want for this price?

The Suntour XCT-HLO Suspension Forks deliver a smooth ride on varying terrain, 100mm of travel and lockout means it suitable for any cross country riding conditions. Suntours suspension fork range are commonly used on cross country mountain bikes in a price range of £200 - £1200 with suntour you get a great all round fork for a good overall price. Other leading brands simply cannot compete at this price level.

The bars are 720mm Wide with a 12mm Rise great for off round control and cornering with ease. Wider bars help for a nice stable ride. The grips are Diamondback trail grip. Plenty of grip but not to big.

The stopping power is provided from Tektro hydraulic brakes system. Rolling through wet and mud in winter conditions if no problem for diamondback's Tektro disc brakes. Tektro brakes are used on various brands around £400 - £500 but to be fitted to this bike at this price is a well received feature!

The gear system is a 12-32t cassette & 24 speed rapid fire shifters work well with the suntour 44/33/22 chainset. It's great to see Shimano cassette and suntour chainset used at this price point. Some manufactures go to cheaper components or even freewheels and this price so it's good to see diamondback uses quality parts where needed.

Final Thoughts

This bike is stunning for the price. Come and see for yourself! Some bike brands have pushed prices up for 2016 but diamonback have made a big statment here.

All this for only £450 RRP is a steal.
